The director and producers of the film will be visiting Oklahoma City to see the grassroots effort that parental rights advocates have put forth in the area of vaccine choice and informed consent. We would like to invite you to be a part of a Q & A and dinner with the makers of the documentary. It will be held at 4 pm on June 8th in Oklahoma City at Crabtown Bricktown, 303 E. Sheridan Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK. Those in attendance will have a chance to ask questions of gastroenterologist and Vaxxed director, Dr. Andrew Wakefield, also known for his controversial study linking autism and the MMR vaccine more than a decade ago. He received his medical degree from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School, London in 1981. He qualified as Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1985 and trained as a gastrointestinal surgeon with a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease. He was awarded a Wellcome Trust Traveling Fellowship to study small-intestinal transplantation in Toronto. He was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists in the U.K. in 2001. Wakefield has published over 140 original scientific papers, reviews, and book chapters. PRODUCER Del Bigtree was an Emmy Award-winning producer on the daytime talk show, The Doctors, for six years. With a background both as a filmmaker and an investigative medical journalist, he is best known for combining visually impactful imagery, raw emotional interviews and unbiased investigative research into stories that push the envelope of daytime television. PRODUCER Polly Tommey is the mother of Billy, a 20-year old boy with autism, a book author, founding Editor-in-Chief of the world's preeminent autism magazine The Autism File, and Autism Media Channel's TV host and award-winning documentary film producer ("Who Killed Alex Spourdalakis).  Vaxxed is not an anti-vaccine film. Operation Override

  House Bill 3016 is a bill authored by Representative Randy Grau and Senator Nathan Dahm. This bill is called the Parental Rights Immunization Act. It would require health care providers to get informed consent from parents or guardians before administering a vaccine. Representative Doug Cox attempted to amend the bill to say that vaccine information sheets provided by the CDC would fit the criteria of informed consent. The bill was assigned to the Public Health committee where the bill passed without the Cox amendment.

  The bill went on to the house floor where it passed 89-6. Nay votes were: Dunnington, Joyner, McDaniel J., Morrissette, Virgin, and Williams

  HB3016 went on to the senate side where it was heard in the Health and Human Services Committee. The bill passed 7-1. The only nay vote was Senator Yen.

  On the senate floor HB3016 again passed overwhelmingly, 39-6. Nay votes were  Bass, Matthews, Shaw, Halligan, Paddack, and Yen.

  Unexpectedly, the bill was vetoed by Governor Fallin. In the explanation of her veto of HB3016, Fallin made several errors. Fallin said health care providers would need to give 34 pages of a CDC document related to vaccines to parents before giving a vaccine to their child. In reality, the bill only calls for making available 4 pages of the 34 mentioned by Fallin, which can be done by viewing a computer screen or posting a single copy on the wall of their facility. She also said she believed the bill would confuse and intimidate parents, leading to lower vaccination rates.  The Directors of Oklahomans for Vaccine and Health Choice, including many medical professionals, disagree. Governor Fallin’s concern is unfounded. In fact, literature supplied by the American Academy of Pediatrics is clear that trust established between pediatrician and parents is the single biggest driver of vaccination rates. Scaring, shaming, blaming and firing have been proven to negatively affect rates. 

  HB3016 opens up meaningful conversation about vaccines, allowing parents and doctors to discuss their concerns and establish trust. We believe parents will be enlightened and thankful their health care provider is informing them that their right to sue vaccine manufactures is limited and ingredients such as MRC-5 human diploid cells are used to manufacture some vaccines. We believe greater public awareness will result in greater accountability and eventually result in safer vaccines, so much so that manufacturers do not need to be shielded from due process in federal and state courts.

Parental Rights

Dear Legislator,

What is a parent to do when the governmental agency responsible for the uptake of vaccines and research is being called into question for falsifying data in vaccine studies? Some parents who use exemptions, many of whom have vaccine injured children, have been called anti-science. In most cases, this is absolutely false. Parents who do their research ask, “What could be more anti-science than omitting significant data in research studies that does not fit the intended, desired outcome?”

Dr. William Thompson, senior scientist at the CDC has turned over this omitted data to Congressman Bill Posey for further investigation. Please take a few minutes to see Congressman Posey’s testimony before Congress, which he quotes Dr. Thompson as saying, “The coauthors scheduled a meeting to destroy documents related to the study. Outbreaks

Dear Legislators,

How well does high-vaccination compliance ensure herd immunity and protect a community from an outbreak? How can we have herd immunity when even the Centers for Disease Control states, "Adult vaccination coverage remains low for most routinely recommended vaccines"?

If the goal is herd immunity, then must we not have forced vaccinations for all? In looking at nations who have forced vaccinations, we see that China has a 99% vaccination rate, but yet they had over 700 outbreaks of measles from 2009 to 2012!

Informed Consent

Dear Legislators,

How informed are we when it comes to vaccine ingredients? Did you know that aborted baby cells are used as cultures to grow live viruses used in state mandated vaccines? A white male of 14 weeks gestation was aborted in 1966 to create the MRC-5 cell line. Another commonly used cell line in state required vaccines is WI-38. To create this cell line, lung fibroblasts were taken from a three month old Caucasian female in 1962. This baby was chosen by Dr. Sven Gard, specifically for this purpose. It is easier to find the ingredients in our food than to find the ingredients in our vaccines. The fact sheet given to parents at the doctor’s office has no listing of ingredients or potential side effects. Vaccine Injury

Dear Legislators,

While the belief that vaccine injury is rare is a well-intended belief, a report by the National Institute of Health (NIH) demonstrates that this belief is not well grounded. Please oppose any bill that attempts to abolish the personal and religious exemptions.

This 2007 NIH study showed that 90-99% of vaccine injuries and deaths go unreported to Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) which means true patterns of vaccine injury are hard to predict. While adverse events reporting is required it is not well enforced. Even for this study the first thing the NIH did was create a new system “to improve underreporting and incomplete reporting that prevails in spontaneous systems.” http://goo.gl/FxN9Hz
