How to Kill a Bill (and which bills to kill)

How to Kill a Bill

1) Email your legislators
2) Call your legislators
3) Visit your legislators

Which one is more effective? Think of it this way... An email has equal power to one person speaking out. A call has equal power to about 100 people speaking out... And visiting has equal power to about 1,000 people speaking out. This is why it is important to do all three! Join our Facebook group to connect with a constituent group in your area. Teamwork makes the dream work!
Which Bills to Kill
SB 83 - Senator Yen's bill, which would require parents to watch a video module in order to obtain an exemption for a child. This is a slippery slope to loss of liberties and we oppose it vehemently!

AND...
HB 1922 - Representative Kannady's bill, which has very dangerous language allowing children under age 13 to give out-of-court testimonies in neglect cases. The bill is dangerous due to the open interpretation of the word "neglect," which could someday be used against a family who has chosen to skip certain vaccines. It could also be used to build a bigger case against parents in neglect cases for other reasons, which sets a precedence for future "unvaccinated" cases to be called neglect. The current law reads that children under age 13 can give out-of-court testimonies in ABUSE cases only, NOT neglect. This bill is very dangerous and we ask that everyone inform your state representatives today!
